Just after completing the concert in virtuosic style, singing as well as he had ever sung in his life, Jim walked out into the churchyard.  Half an hour later, he had died.

We feel that Jim died as he had lived - entertaining people and glorifying God at the same time.  For Intermedii, Jim's voice, joyous personality, musicality, erudition and unique sense of humour will be irreplaceable.  But we will be eternally grateful that he was, for a time, a member of our ensemble as well as a dear friend.

A celebration concert for Jim was held in Luxembourg on
18 September 2006.
